Step 1: Reference Code
- When the pools are open, go to the Come to Canada questionnaire >here<
- Click the button “Check your eligibility”
- To the first question “What would you like to do in Canada” the answer is “IEC – Travel and Work”
Many applicants attempt to get their reference code even before the pool opens, but this is only possible once the pool is actually open. If the pool is still closed, you’ll receive a message stating that you’re not eligible.
Simply wait until the pool opens, then try again.
- If you are applying on your own without the help of an organization, you must answer the below question with ‘no’.
- If you’re applying for a Working Holiday, you should answer the following questions with ‘no’.
- These questions are not relevant to the Working Holiday category.
- Even if you already have a job lined up, it’s important to remember that having a job is not a requirement for the Working Holiday.
- After answering all questions your result will be a reference code.
- Please write it down. You will need it in the next step.
